Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco is an American Canadian singer and songwriter. Her catalog includes more than 20 albums. DiFranco describes her music under the terms folk-rock and alternative. But it includes influences like hip-hop, punk and jazz. Ani DiFranco, widely regarded as an icon of women's rights, and Grammy award-winning musician is thought to be the founder in DIY music. It was one of the very first musicians to launch her own label in the year 90. DiFranco's parents were Elizabeth (Ross), a previous student at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Dante Americo DiFranco met each other while they were students at the same school. Her father was of Italian origin as was her mother originally from Montreal. Ani diFranco wrote and performed the song 32 Flavors. The track was first released on her 1995 sixth studio album Not a Pretty Girl. On the soundtrack of 1999's Canadian romantic film Better Than Chocolate is a variation of this song. DiFranco made an apology public in 2013, following the revelation that it became clear that she'd set up a three-day workshop in the Louisiana plantation.
