The show is a tribute to Chase's father Todd Chrisley, a millionaire and the 'patriarch who is perfect and his family. Chase's reputation for being an impulsive and reckless person keeps his father on the lookout and makes the dynamic between the family more enjoyable for viewers. Chase has trouble nearly every episode. Chase often coaxes his father to get him into trouble. In an ongoing effort to outwit his father, Chase often gets his sister Savannah as his partner in crime. Although it is true that Chase is the most adored character on their family show and is closely being followed by his younger sister Savannah, they both might soon get a brand new show for themselves. Todd Chrisley stated in an interview, that a new show titled Growing Up Chrisley will follow Chase and Savannah in their college years. For a while, Chase also had a podcast called "The Chase Christy Podcast'.
